HAHA, no way man. In high school I could have had gone out with many popular girls but even then I knew it wasnt worth it. Just look for someone who you can really enjoy; someone with common interests like fishing or whatever you like to do. Dont think: oh well she's pretty, and popular, I want her. It really isnt worth it. It'll all be a joke to you in a few years.

The people who were "popular" at my school were just a big bunch of insecure teenagers seeking validation from each other. The majority are now in dead-end jobs, some of the women unintentionally pregnant or juggling a few kids.. others battling drug-addiction etc because they don't have their big support group anymore to make decisions for them and protect them.

"Popular" groups usually contain bullies and the people in them spend their education making other students feel miserable. Try to find people who share your values instead of latching on to certain people for popularity. I think the most attractive trait in people is self-worth and confidence - not arrogance, but people who are happy with themselves and not afraid to have their own opinions, different clothes, like different styles of music etc. You will be more of an individual and a lot more popular after high school (the time that really matters) than you will by hanging out with people like that.

I was kinda, sorta of a loner in HS but for some strange reason I had quite a few friends. Ranging from the most popular to the least. I just did my own thing and was nice to most everyone.

Popularity never interested me; in that prision they call school;
The prettiest or intelligent girls sometimes are not "cool";
Being receptive and true to yourself pays off.
