I'm not sure how tall you are, but I hope you can accept your height and be happy with who you are. I have a friend who is completely grown, she is only 4'11" tall. She has always been one of the most confident people I know. She would sometimes get teased but tended to ignore it and most of it was done to playful, not mean. I don't think working out will affect whether you grow or not, but it's good for you in general so don't stop. Some people grow right up to the age of 20, but most stop by 18. A lot of female celebrities are quite short, like Toni Braxton, Madonna, Shakira, lots more. And remember what Horton the elephant (Dr. Suess) says, "People are people, no matter how small."

Sorry, there are no exercises that will help you grow taller. I wish there were since I'm 5'4. However, there is hope for a growth spurt. There was a pretty short guy I knew in high school and by our 10 yr. reunion he had shot up at least 6 more inches. It was amazing. So it is possible. On the other hand, I'm the same size I've been since 9th grade. Everyone's different!!

My daughter is 18 and is going thru a growth spurt. Some people keep growing taller into their 20's.
I have one son who is 6'6" and the other is 6'2". My daughter is now 5'8".
I believe it's good nutrition making people taller these days. A lot of kids are much taller than their parents. Mine are!
So don't sweat it. And so what about your height. I think it's better than being "average" someone who blends into the crowd. A person much taller or shorter is going to stand out. Be proud of who you are!
Sorry if this is not the answer you wanted.

It is not too common for a woman to have a major growth spurt after 16. I am not saying it doesn't happen...it happens with boys commonly but not as often with girls. You can take after either parent. If one of your parents was really short and you are past 16 and really short most likely that will be you also. My mother is less than 5 ft 3 while both my sisters are over 5 ft 5 since they were in high school at about 16. I was 5 ft 4 starting high school but just under 6 ft by 18. Some of my buddies added a few inches after high school. Most women are done with well over 90% of growing by 16.

Human height, or stature, is the height of a human being. Adult height generally varies little between people compared to other anthropometric measures. Exceptional height (variation from the average of around 20%) is usually due to gigantism or dwarfism. Adult height for one sex in a particular ethnic group follows more or less a Gaussian distribution (bell curve) but with some individuals lying several standard deviations away from the mean. (The tallest well-documented giant was 8 foot 11.1 inches (2.72 m) tall.) Height is determined by the interaction of genes and environment. Final adult height may be attained anywhere from the early teens to early 20s, though it is most commonly reached during the mid teens for females and late teens for males. A person's height also varies over the course of the day, by an average of 19 mm (¾ in), gradually shrinking as the spine compresses over the course of a day, and stretching back out overnight (Tyrrell, et al. 1985).[1]

As for working out you will be fine. Sometimes trauma to growth plates can cause interruption in growth, but that happens usually from a severe injury or constant repetitive blows without proper absorption of the blow or landing from the rest of the body's mechanisms. Some gymnasts have suffered from this in the past, from the landing and pounding. These days shorter ones are chosen from the beginning because of center of gravity reasons/bio-mechanical issues that make the movement in certain events easier for shorter limbs. The lack of caloric intake to maintain weight effects them also with some belated puberty issues as well as osteoporosis linked to low body fat calcium absorption issues.
