Do you think it's pathetic that I cried when I didn't make the first cut?
Today first cuts were posted for basketball. I'm a huge fan and WAS TRULY looking forward to being on the team. But I got cut. And I cried. Not like bawling, and not in front of people. I tried to hide it. Is that pathetic or not?

It was a 20 people cut. There were like 60 trying out. And most of them were just trying out because everyone has to try out for atleast 2 sports. Most of those people made the first cut.

Michael Jordan didn't make first cut either when he started out. Check out his biography, then come back, drop your improved f*cking game on them and make those suckas pay. Failure at the start is almost the guarantee of future success. Star Wars got told no by every major Hollywood movie studio, The Beatles were turned down by every record company in Britain, and Michael Jordan didn't make first cut. Wipe your tears, come up with a cool nickname and image, work on your game and come back FIGHTING.

Don't worry and don't consider it pathetic sometimes in life we don't get what we want. Every one has their Grey days, try not to be hard on yourself use this setback to jump back up and pursue more. There is more in store for everyone no one is left out in the end.

No, not at all. We are taught by society to be apathetic and not care about anything but acutally showing that you care about the things that are important to you is a sign that you are human. And that it meant alot to you in the first place.
Try again next time - your determination should help you.
There's some saying that I can't really remember but it goes something like:
'if youtry and fail, try and try again!'

No, it's not at all. Crying is an emotion that is good for the soul sometimes; althought too much is bad. Just cheer up. These things happen, and there are a lot of other sad things in life. It's ok. Just keep doing what you love, and you will get in eventually. Go for it!

Not pathetic at all. You were hurt and showed your emotions. That should be commended. It's much better to express your emotions than to bottle them up.
You should be proud that you are so passionate about something.

No not at all. I can inderstand how dissipointing that is. I cry a lot about things like that too and sometimes I feel guilty about it but and I try to hide it like you and it's nothing really to be ashamed of.

As long as you don't bawl in front of everyone, it is fine, it is always healthy to cry a little!
