It depends, who paid for the computer, pays for access to internet? If they did, then you have your answer.
Your parents are just trying to protect you. Sometimes it doesn't seem fair or right, but its their decision to make and they would rather err on the side of too much protection than not enough.
Hang in there, you'll soon be old enough to call the shots, and learn quickly that MySpace, and Yahoo Messenger aren't all that great after all, in fact quite silly.

Myspace is a bad website because many people have been raped and killed,i don't have a yahoo messenger (i have AIM) but it will probably help if you talk to your parents about why they blocked it.
Good Luck

Both are a waste of time... do your homework, learn to do web design... you can talk to your friends at SCHOOL.
DURING LUNCH!
I fully agree with your parents... they must know you're wasting too much time on both Yahoo Messenger and Myspace.
Finding ways around their rules will get you into deep trouble, as well as possibly giving your ID and password to other people. Don't use proxies.

It does not matter whether anyone here thinks it is right or not. What matters is that your parents design the rules for their children based on information they received. Trust them.
