When I moved into my apartment the kitchen sink had awful water stains. I've tried pretty much everything from comet, to clorox clean up, mr clean eraser, windex. Is it possible to clean these spots up after they have been there so long?

Try 3 more products--one is a cleanser (like comet) called ZUD, another is a product called The Works----they have several varieties from toilet cleaner to shower cleaner; The last is CLR-clear, made for C-alcium, R-ust, & L-ime.
Good luck!

Water stains only, use vinegar, or try that cleaner Kaboom, a new one by the stove cleaning company, BAMB. Anything that claims it can remove mineral deposit will remove stains from water. It might take a couple of times and some soaking before rinsing, but don't give up.

Magic Eraser worked for me. It's like a cleaning brick. I found mine at walmart although it took a little hunting. I think it's got that Mr. Clean guy on it...it's done great on every job I've rememberd to try it on so far!

Try a rust and lime remover. Just follow the instructions on the bottle and make sure that you wear gloves when you are cleaning because it is a harsh chemical.

You can look into having it refinished. I had a badly stained tub refinished and it looked like new. It was fairly inexpensive too.
