I am worried about this. A small group of ladies with whom I lunch conssts of two gay and several straight women. Is " accepting sraight" a term thatcould be used as they know the three if us are lesbian but do not worry about it.
If the term seems clumsy or discourteous please let me know. I'm probably fussing over nothing.
Love and a beautiful day to all, Rose P.

The term probably makes every one cringe just a bit, knowing that your intent is good. I'm not sure the circumstance that you would need to use the term, but it seems just a bit too cumbersome to use very often.

"Friends" seems to say all that needs to be said, and if you feel a need to go into detail, whip out the "accepting"

Just my humble opinion, and I'm certainly no authority!

Good weekend to you!

I think you are right and it means that they as straight accept gay people. If possible I would ask them what exactly means the term to them. But I wouldn't worry about it much :)

I hear "gay friendly" a lot more often. Beyond the quoted phrase, I'm not entirely sure what you're asking here.

A popular phrase is "Straight but not narrow"

accepting straight is just as good.

im probably fussing over nothing, but i think that the grand wizard has figured out a way to read my mind. thats bad, but that he goes on to write 'my' anwers as his own is even worse.
