We met in high school for the first two years we hated each other. He even dated a couple of my friends. then when my one friend started bring him around we actually got along. so one day in our junior year i asked him out just joking thinking he would say no but i was wrong he said yes and then i felt bad and i couldn't tell him that it was joke. but i end up being the best 'mistake' i ever made. and yes he knows now that i was a joke

I worked with him (bob, we'll say) for 2 years - in the same office of about 12 people and 2 desks. (I'm a mechanic- we work outside mostly.) Also we're ranked by our years in the career field and bob out-ranked me by about 6 years. He was in a supervisory postion and i a worker position so i never even considered him as a romantic option. Also at the time that i met him he was married.
Well, last thanksgiving through text messages he told me that there was something about me he like and wanted to find out what it was. *Pure shock to me* I replied - I'm with ... and i won't do anything to compromise that and risk losing him. He apologized and didn't bring it up again.
In February i broke up with that boyfriend and was in kind of a -wanna get drunk- mood and asked bob's roomate (carl) if he wanted to go out for drinks. (We were both pretty good friends with carl at the time it was nothing against bob) Then a week later, bob asked me if i wanted to go to a movie with him, as friends, carl would even come along - so no pressure. So i agreed. Afterwards we went to get some food and drinks. - and this is really the first 'outside of work' communication i've had with this bob. Surprisingly we hit it off really well and long story short, i've been with him since.
For me, this great guy had been under my nose for 2 years and i had no clue.

My friend was in graduate school with my husband. She introduced us a cookout she hosted. We went out once and didn't get along. In the fall I started at the same school but in a different program. I didn't know many people so we started to hang out together. We became really good friends then started to date over Christmas break. Now we've been married for 6 years and have a son.

well my best friend(male) met this guy in one of his classes and they became best friends, and my friend kept bringing him home on the weekends and the 3 of us would hang out...i liked him from day one but i never said anything... then about 10 months later and 2 weekends spent with him, we started talking about the what ifs... and we started to date. we've been together ever since and plan to get married when he finishes school, and i get out of the air force. We just clicked right a way as friends and it turns out that the day that i met him he said that he liked me from day one too... i certainly wasn't planning on dating right now while i'm in a small town and related to everybody, so i think it's safe to say that he, and the whole long distance relationship thing, was totally unexpected! but what can i say, i love surprises!!! have a great weekend!

I met my husband in high school. We went out for a while when we were 14, split up (as you do at that age), left school, married other people, got back together 5 years ago and got married this year. Love at first sight is possible, it just takes a setback to realise it was real love!!

My first husband I met when I went to 'visit my sister's male friend's OTHER friend..' (confusing.) The second fellah I answered a personal's ad in the Kalamazoo Gazette.. guy sounded great there.. (think it's kinda corny sounding now..) He liked walks on the beach (we never go to the beach) and candlelight dinners (I tried lighting candles once? he hated it..) Everybody made frickin' FUN of me meeting somebody from an 'ad' but NOW everybody thinks it's just wonnnderful if they hook up with somebody from the computer, huh? How ya figure?! lmao

Called a phone-chat line one night.....women had free service to talk but the guys had to pay. I talked to this guy who ran out of minutes before we really could get to have a conversation. I called back a week later and got the same guy. He gave me his phone number to call his apartment which I did 3 days later. I started talking on the phone to him in October.....and Christmas Eve morning of the same year at 3 am in the morning (2 months)....he left everything behind and moved in with me. We been together ever since and he loves my children very much. We are engaged to be married and my life could not be happier.

I met my husband at my parents house. He had a crush on my younger (16 months younger than me) sister. She was more into his best friend at the time and ended up dating him instead. When he saw me all thoughts of her went out the window. And to this day he says he is much happier with me than he would have ever been with her....
