i'm with Roger it must be the gas pump yet no longer the pump its self i'm questioning the capacity furnish to it and that i say that considering the fact which you pronounced the tech strikes around. yet there returned you pronounced the fan does the comparable element and you communicate like the alternator costs the battery while the engine is off. And while it stalls you loose the capacity guidance, nicely what drives the capacity guidance pump on your vehicle? there is not any longer something incorrect with the laptop and shorting of one or extra wires won't make the laptop close the vehicle down, it is in basic terms dumb questioning. you probably did no longer say something approximately engine mild coming near so each and all of the sensors are working in basic terms superb do no longer circulate spending your lunch funds on them. it must be so uncomplicated as a bad ignition change, you should nicely known if the gauges circulate down such as you became off the main or in the event that they stay wide awake then there could be a loose connection interior the suitable fuse container. must be no longer common to hit upon.

Alternator. Your battery is only meant to start your car. As a matter of fact, if you start your car...you can disconnect the battery and it will still run IF your alternator is working properly. When the alternator goes bad or the belt breaks...the car will run on the battery alone, and drain it of power.
USUALLY...if things are running correctly, the battery will be recharged as you drive, but if the alternator is broken, your battery will not recharge and will go dead...which is probably why you couldn't start it.
Did you happen to notice your lights getting dim as you were driving?

You need to check your ignition switch. Use a test light and check to see if the fuses that get power when the key is turned on have power. If all the fuses that require power when key is on and there is no power at all of them except the ones that have constant battery power, then I would seriously look at your ignition switch. Do this if you know the battery is good. Good luck.

Well what the heck, how old is you battery, and alt?. do you have a cell phone or radar detector in the car that could be drawing from the battery?. It doesn't take long for them to kill a battery, then the alt will not be able to recharge the battery, if that is not the problem then you have a short in the wiring system!! good luck if your not a pro at wiring....

i own a repair shop,in Tennessee, and i have seen the solenoid switch or the key switch go out on them that fast, and they wouldn't ever start back until it was repaired you may have to have a good mechanic kook it over real good to help determine the exact cause of it,,other wise you may wind up spending a lot of money on it for nothing, sometimes it can be something really simple on it,even the neutral safety switch can cause it to do that,so it might pay to check all these things and make sure they work right, good luck,i hope you find it.

Since you said the battery is new check the battery cable connections and see they are problem loose check them both but to me it sounds like a loose negative cable ! Good Luck ! they have to be tight no wiggle room if they are tight then sounds like the starter may be frozen...

hey check the ground cable from the battery to the other end it sounds like you have a loose grond wire . same thing can happen to the positve cable to the starter, check them both as the first before you waste time on the battery.

interesting that battery is brand new,did you had this same problem before battery? if so check the other "ends" of the cables where they attach to the body( GROUND SIDE ) and at the starter or solenoid (POSITIVE SIDE) they may be loose or corroded causing the loss of AMPERAGE ,the stuff needed t really crank it over. :)
