I have been receving 5 plus recorded calls a day for the past 2 days. I finally took phone off of the hook. I am on no call list but politicians are excluded from that. How do I stop this? Anyone else having this problem?

I am having the same problems. I think its great that poloticians get to break any rule they so choose. Im on the do not call list also.
I think the only way to get that to work is a good ol fasioned class action law suit.

Those are the most annoying phone calls. There's all of these people out there that are leaving recorded messages, asking you to vote or asking for money or something. All they're doing is annoying everyone else, and even driving some people away from voting. Some people are thinking, "You know what? I've had enough of this." and they just don't vote. I don't see them helping anyone here.

I haven't been receiving many lately, thank goodness, but I do get them from time to time since I sign petitions that are sent to politicians (who in turn put me on their calling list). My advice is to get the name of the politician or political group sending you these recorded calls, call their offices and tell them you want to be taken off their calling list. If you continue to receive phone calls, call them again and let them know you'll be reporting them for harrassment.

Don't vote for politicans for call you like that. Other than that, there is not much else to do.
Yeah, Congress knew what they were doing when the specifically exempted political campaigns from the Do Not Call list regulations.

The only recorded calls that I've received have been from Clinton and Edwards, urging me to vote no matter who it is for.

They've been calling us, too. Fortunately, we have caller id, so if we don't recognize the name or phone number we don't answer. If we don't want to hear the phone, we unplug it. I don't think there is anything to do to stop it; except wait for the election to be done.

I am with you there sister goddess and it makes me mad I think we could start a petition .I will pay more attention to who calls and bugs me then paint a giant I am not on the DO NOT VOTE FOR...... LIST lol

No i am not having this problem and i think u should block the #'s from calling !!!!!!!!!
