This phenomenon happens rarely and is where the phrase "once in a blue moon" comes from. It will occur in months with 31 days if the first full moon of the month occurs on the first day of the month. The moon cycles through the phases on a 28 to 29 day cycle, so a second full moon or "blue moon" would occur during the last week of the same month. Don't hold your breath waiting for this to happen-you could turn "blue".

Yes it's called a blue moon. The next occurance will be May 2, 2007 6:09 New York City time. There are (were) no blue moons in 2006.

Sure. Full Moons come about 29 days apart so there can be two full Moons in any month but February. There were two in July 2004 for example. See the source.

Yes--it's rare but it happens.
That's where "once in a blue moon" comes from--blue moon is the 2nd full one in amonth!
Do not know dates--google a lunar calendar.
