..but it's about a three minute walk from the factory line to the break room, should you be able to be away from your work station for 16 minutes to be able to relax for the 10 minutes, or do you just get 4 minutes to sit down and relax? (factory work is such a bummer)

Your break begins from your workstation. Usually most companies give you a 15 minute break to compensate for the walk.

If you are a union member talk to a representative about changing the work rules to allow for the walk to the break room. If not, talk to your supervisor, maybe s/he will allow the extra time.

if all the other benefits of the job are worth it then decide if the break issue is worth fighting against, alot of things arent fair at work,but another job may have worse conditions, a petition may help get the extra time some attention.

4 minutes.
a lot of places have a bell/buzzer to start and end breaktime.
maybe it's time to look for a new line of work???
