Just believe in yourself. Don't follow or think what people have said or done to you. Do what you want to, don't ever bother what people will say about you. Smile always and try to mix with people who are nice to you. Good luck.

I have been looking for this answer as well. I think that - no matter what happened to you in the past - to understand that you are worth it and if you did something wrong it was not because you are a bad person but because you were unaware of it. I really wish I had a good answer for you and for me. I went into therapy and this helped me some and I am sure it will help you but if you can't afford it, pray, pray hard and God will help you. Another clue, buy a book called CELEBRATE YOUR SELF - enhancing your self- esteem - author Dorothy Corkille Briggs. One thing that you should learn is to not blame others for your own problems. We all are responsible as much as they might have hurt you. I wish I could tell you so much more, but what I know I am sharing with you. Never give up on you. Hold yourself when you do good things and forgive yourself when you do bad things. Forgiveness is important not only towards yourself but towards life and people who you met in the past. We all make mistakes but to forgive is essential. Ask God to heal you and wash away your past with His Divine blood. Don't ever give up. I am 52 and never did. I went thru a LOT, you wouldn't believe if I told you. I still want to write a book about my life but I am still here, and happy, believing the best is yet to come. I send you a big hug from Brazil.

The first key to all of these is self love, once that comes the rest will follow. In order for you to love yourself you must believe that you are special.HMMM what makes a person special? Money, cars, mansions,. NO, what makes a person special is self sacrifice, empathy, kindness, warmth. Know why? Look around you these days. This is the ME generation and everyone seems to only care about themselves. If you have ever given of yourself freely to anyone else out there without expecting anything in return, then you are special, you are unique and you are deserving of loving urself. :)
Hope this helps

The first answer was really good, you must always do the next right thing, Then when someone loves you, do everything you can to make them happy, don't push them away. Altruism is the key to happiness. you must let yourself be loved, even when you feel you don't deserve it. YOU DO. Why do you self destruct? Is it because you don't believe you deserve happiness. YOU DO. God be with you. I am only one of many that truly Loves you.

Start playing with yourself?

Daily affirmations?

Look in the mirror-- I am great, I am the best, no one is better, I am happy, I am OK with me, It's OK to say and do everything I say and do, I can do no wrong ever, and if I do, it's OK,
Because I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and god darn it, people like me!
