Are really the people they're suppose to be or just pictures they found on the net?

hahaha i've wondered that myself.... I think most of them are just pictures they found....since some people feel more liberated online then they do in the real world... the ones that yahoo lets you create are more closest to what we look like...you know... my avatar is close to me...except I'm not constantly smiling...

I think most of them are probably genuine. The small size of the avatars generally gives them decent resolution and makes people look pretty good,
But what pissed me off this morning was seeing that a guy had picked his best answer based on how gorgeous he thought this girl's avatar was... even though it was not an innovative, intelligent or funny answer, when compared to some of the others that were submitted. Yes ok, I did submit an answer for that question and didn't win, but he shouldn't be so superficial and try to use this site for picking up women. It's yahoo answers for goodness sake! How many dating sites are there? 1 billion?! Sheesh!

Aren't they using their own photos? I use my real picture so I thought everybody else did.
