Pole barn construction can most certainly meet the building code requirements. But because they are not conventional construction, they require engineered plans. The cost is not possible to determine as construction cost factors differ from area to area. However, pole construction tends to be less expensive than conventional. You can find book on pole construction on Amazon or at stores like Home Depot or Lowe's.
