I am a gay man and I think I might be a sex addict but I am not completely sure.
I do have a lot of porn. I have a lot of movies and look at a lot of porn online, almost daily. I think about sex constantly. Whereever I am I look at guys and imagine having sex with them.
However I am able to control my sexual habits. There are a lot of times when I meet gay men in various and I want to have sex but I am able to control myself and I don't.
Am I not a sex addict since I can control my behavior or am I just a sex addict without sex?
Also I am 25 and I know that sexual arousal is normal in young men.

You're only addicted if it becomes a problem in your life. If you have the world's largest porn collection, literally have sex on the brain from dawn to dusk, etc., if you can have a successful career, maintain a healthy relationship, have friends, get out of the house often, and be happy, then none of that stuff matters. Addictions are bad; hobbies are fun! Sounds to me like your hobby is gay male sex (which is a lot more fun than putting airplanes together, lol).

Do you cruise gay bars or toilets during your work lunch break and come back 15 minutes late, only to have your boss threaten to fire you?
Do you spend your money on porn instead of paying the rent?

I think that as long as that control is there, you are fine. A little sex addiction is all right, as long as you function well in the world and can control it. So what if watching porn is your "hobby"? I can think of A LOT worse...

Unfortunately you're a sex addict with control. It is the same as any other addiction. People are addicted to nicotine, alcohol, drugs, etc, but can control when and how often they consume/ abuse these items. You need to get help.

My guess (from afar) is that you are addicted specifically to pornography, and probabably mainly online pornography.
