i feel that it makes it almost impossible for the average woman to be accepted into the world as beautiful because all u see everywhere is the super model. touching up, and plastic surgery is all anyone is doing or accepting. Eye candy. and I think that in a few short years, the industry will change back to the way it used to be, where heavier women (like Marylin Monroe size 16) and Dr. Torres from Gray's Anatomy (Sara Ramirez) the skinny figure will be out of a job!

Well, I'm not really into the media... Well, I know that the people in movies and magazines are airbrushed, have personal hairstylist, etc. and I definitely don't want that... I may admire them a little, but I don't feel inadequate! :-)

nah, coz most of them images are airbrushed and edited, i saw a feature not too long ago and man, that girl didn't look anything like her original shot-from the hair on her head, the creases that were ironed out by the filter on the camera and the instant boob lift, it was amazing how these images on the cover of cosmo and vanity fair fool our eyes, hence, they are illusions! so just feel glad and happy that you have a functional body that isn't plagued by an illness that isn't in your control...coz as we get older, hell, changes do happen...so enjoy what you got and what your momma gave you!

Yeah, the older I get the more I wonder why this fat, balding dude is looking back at me in the mirror. I think and feel younger than that, but if I want to look the part, I have to work harder.

Definitely. I think that even girls/women who are CLOSE to perfect feel inadequate. That is why there are so many anorexic and bulimic kids. Also why so many people get plastic surgery!!!

at times ..yea.. if we all had about 10-20 people working on us we'd all look that great.... it's not about talent nor more, it's quite sad the obession that the media has on the so-called "ideal"..'cause there is no such thing..our preferences vary, but all in all each one of us..male or female is attractive whether it is physically or mentally

No because I am a happily married housewife and no one in Hollywood can say that. I may not be a thin and beautiful as they are but they don't have anything on me and my happiness.

Nope. I don't bother reading those things and if I do I just laugh at how unhealthily skinny some of those losers are. I also have a good laugh about how messed up they are with their drugs and sex lives.

Although beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, the feeling of being beautiful exists solely in the mind of the beheld. ...

Yes, every day. And it's unfair that even the models don't really look like that because they're often airbrushed.
