In many states the employer has a right under state law to send you to the doctor of thier choice, and most do send you to doctors that are goind to be more pro company. Many larger companies work close to find a company that will be so,
In other cases the workers comp companie work close to try and determine issues also.

But you do have a right to go to your own doctor and if your doctor finds more, then you have a right to address this with your employer who can send you to another doctor to determine. or they can refer you back to thier doctor.

If the two doctors do not agree, you file on the workers comp claim for all the injures you find, their doctor files on other injuries. And then you get a workers comp hearing to determine what happens.
( that is why there are so many workers comp attorneys)

The law varies from state to state. Call a Worker's Comp lawyer and find out what your options are. I have known several people who filed claims, the first thing their lawyer did was send them to their own doctors.

Tell your employer you do not have faith in their Dr. and would like to go to your own Dr.. They can not stop you but every employer has different rules in this area.
You can also sign a slip at your employer naming your Dr a primary Dr..
Check with your employer first. Then go to your own Dr.

The laws are in favor of the employer. Your rights mean little if nothing. Write or call your congressman, but I bet he won't talk to you... they just don't care.
