ummm everybody seems to have the same answer but yeah
im assuming your in gr......7 science?
just cause thats what i am referring to right now in my head:
a producer: like a plant/ something that makes its own food[bottom of food chain]
consumer: an animal/ something that need food by eating something else.
there are a bunch of types of producers but i dont remember the names cuz it was too long ago i think it was...so i will number them
1: 2nd lowest it only eats plants
2: eats plants and things that eat plants [3rd lowest]
3: things that eat plants and animals that eat plant/ plants and animals.[highest/us!]
if 1 animal were to lose its habitat, the plant eater would have no food and it would die and then the 2 woulod be able to eat nothing and the 3 would be able to eat nothing cuz the animals and the plants died. its an ecosystem...ect.....symbiosism....ect..
and included in that test should be some stuff about decomposition or something like that
..
..
and some stuff about
mutualism; when 2 things are benifiting
ex: the sharks and the suckers
__________.[i forgot]; when i thing benifits but the other is not harmed
ex: i cant think of one right now...but it exsists!
parasitism; when i thing benifits and the other is harmed
ex: a tapeworm in a human
endnote: ppl will see this answer and answer it better based on my answer so *cough*i think i should get best answer*endcough* and i totaly am just typing this out of my brain what i learnt 2 years ago so i dont remember much ^_^"""

A producer is anyone who makes a good or provides a service. A consumer is someone who buys a good or a service. An animals habitat is their home, if they lose it, they may lose all of the things that are keeping them alive. They live there for a reason. They will lose their shelter, food sources, and many other living conditions. Best of luck on ur test :)

Humans are destroying the habitats in which animals live in mainly because we are humans. The population of humans are growing by the second so the more humans there are the more space we are going to need to need. Humans overpopulate because they feel the need to have a child and with the number of children born from teen pregnancy, mistakes, rape, those who got too drunk . . . . . the numbers continue to increase. Oh, and lets not forget that we also need the natural resources the habitats provide us in order to keep the human race going and growing. Humans have caused global warming because we did not think of the possibility of such a thing occuring.

In nature a plant is a producer because it makes its' own food. A deer would be a consumer because it grazes on the plant. see link:
http://www.nhptv.org/Natureworks/nwep9.htm
If a habitat loses a particular producer, such as a plant, then the consumer that depends on it may also die. Any animal that loses its' habitat is stressed due to its' inability to eat/mate/survive.

Producer = one who makes something eg a farmer grows carrots.
Consumer = one who uses something eg your mum (mom) uses the carrots to make soup (here she is producer too), you eat the soup you are the final consumer.
Loss of habitat can mean survival in another habitat or extinction.
