Dont be so quick to judge. Asking a question about abortion doesnt mean I have or ever would do it. I happen to be a mom. I was just curious, because some people are very pro-choice, but I was curious if people who had actually had one still felt so great about it.

Yes, my sister and her friend also. My sister coldheartedly talks about it all the time, "when I was pregnant I craved this and I loved eating this, and my bf pampered me like this" then she went and had two abortions.... I hate knowing she was that reckless, and I also hate knwing I had two nieces or nephews Ill never know. Why she didnt just keep it to herself I dunno. But her friend also had two abortions but they were medical, she had one child and it was complicated. The other to pregnancies had problems if she were to deliver. To each there own I guess, I know i couldnt do it. ( I have children too BTW)

Just about every human activity that is decried as immoral by some will be carried out by others without remorse. Not just abortion, but lying, stealing, raping, murdering, child-molesting... Some people's consciences have a much higher threshold for guilt than others'.
On the other hand, for every woman who has an abortion without regret, there are many who regret it deeply (I don't have a statistic, but experience tells me it's quite lopsided in favor of the regrettors). And it is a sad fact that women who have had an abortion are more likely to commit suicide.
I am pleased to see that a lot of pro-life groups have come around from simply condemning a pregnant woman for choosing abortion to providing counselling, both to the pregnant woman who hasn't made a choice yet, and to the remorseful woman who regrets her choice.
I would counsel any patient to reconsider before choosing to have an abortion. Even if she thinks she won't regret it, she probably will.

I'm pro choice, but I can't imagine anyone having an abortion and not regretting it or feeling badly to some degree.

i believe this is a personal choice and would never pass judgement--I don't elieve it is every an easy choice to make for any women-except maybe a mentally ill one. Men should not be involved in making these laws as they have no idea and never will have about how a woman feels and will never have to make that choice--if men could have babies this would not be an issue-you would always have the choice, I myself as several other women I know have had abortions-mine was 28 years ago. I was fortunate enough to live in a time where I got good medical treatment in a hospital. I have never regretted it-I am not thrillled about it-it was a hard choice but I was 17 my father had just become terminally ill at 43 and it would have been too much for the family to handle-my mother helped me through it--there are many reasons why woman have abortions for many different reasons--usually for survival for them selves....all my friends who have had this done-we dont talk about it--it was a hard choice--a personal choice-not a form of birth control--all of us went on to have our lives and most had children when they were ready..you will find most women in their 40s to be strong advocates of birthcontrol,,,so you never have to make that choice.

pros and cons

I am not woman so i dont know if i am in my place to be answering this question but i will try

abortion is wrong taking a life is wrong but we have gotten so use to it now we just label our unborn children as fetuses as if to say they are not human yet and that is wrong. imagine someone just killing you because of somthing that wasnt right about you thats wrong. However I cansee why a woman would want an abortion to. What if that woman was rapped or somthing She doesn't want that child of some man she doesn't even know. pros and Cons who's right and who's wrong

I have no regrets. I have two now and honestly do not know how I would have managed. I love my two kids to death but that was the right decision for me at that time in my life.

My best friend had one many years ago....and we had discussed it prior to her having it. She just KNEW at the time it was the right thing to do....gave many reasons to justify why she needed to do it.......and there wasn't a day that went by that she didn't regret it. She constantly saw a child and wondered what hers would look like and be like. And then began to have thoughts of what happens after she dies...would she have to face that child in the afterlife and give all her silly reasons for it.
She ended up getting killed in a car wreck...and I wonder....

I don't have firsthand experience with this, but I have at least 2 friends who are just fine with their decision.
