I've played my 360 on my regular old CRT since I've gotten it--and I've also played it on a friend's HDTV and while it was really cool, it's still extremely enjoyable without HD.

I do like how the 360 can bypass song and photos from my laptop. I somewhat have a instant internet card for my 360. (No Cords) The overheating is a topic. make specific and put in an open area.

The Xbox 360, is quite an impressive machine. You could get it and be able to play games on a regular old tv, that's cable ready of course. But here's somthing that you might want to consider. The Playstation 3 comes out in 4 days...Everything I've read about it tells me that this machine is going to be insane.

Yes the visuals are the only thing that changes, the graphics stay the same, you see the visuals just look much sharper, and the colors are more solid. You can still play on a regular TV, but you wont see how good the games really are, without the hi def(and maybe some surround sound).

Truly the Xbox 360 really isn't worth getting at all.
Because it breaks real easy. And as soon as the little green lights turn red once ...you are screwed and you end up wasting from $300 to $400.Which you are so totally not getting back.

It might. Maybe you should look on a Xbox 360 box if you aren't sure.
