Your vagina is not too small, you're probably just sticking it in wrong. Use a tampon with an applicator, you can get the kind that expands now so you can hide it in your and when you go to the bathroom. Insert the top applicator almost all the way in and then push the inner tube in all the way. The resistance you feel is not lack of space, just the end of the tampon stuck in the tube. If it can't go any further just pull out the applicator and the tampon will stay behind.
Use a pantyliner just in case the tampon leaks and a higher absorbency on days when your flow is heavier. That should take care of any leaks
Keep track of your period on a calendar, The week before you expect it eat more calcium and avoid salt and caffeine. Have an advil or pamprin if the cramps are really bad and drink lots of water.
Get some exercize too, when you have your period it feels like the last thing in the world you want to do but it can really help.
If it makes you feel any better the cramps won't be as bad as you get older.

First you don't say how old you are but if you are having a period then your vagina should be able to accomodate a tampon without pain. Try using some of the slender fit tampons. Also wearing a pad with a tampon on your heavy days will give you more security and you won't have to stay in the bathroom and it will save your underwear. Also light exercise will help ease some of your pains as well as ibuprofen.

yeah it does suck....for the cramps etc, try advil, tylenol. They also have medicine for periods (pamprin i think). About the tampons, your vagina is big enough, i wore a tampon my first day of having my first period. Try an extra slim tampon with a plastic aplicator, the cardboard ones feel like shoving a rock up your crotch when you first get your period. And for the school thing, you have no idea. What I do is wear a super plus tampon and an overnight pad. If youre not into the tampon thing, try just the overnight pad, its a lot thicker and more absorbent than regular pads. Hope that was helpful.

It actually isn't good to wear a tampon when you first get your period. If you must wear a tampon or would feel better protected try inserting it while sitting. Or when standing, put one leg up on the edge of the bathtub. Either of these ways make it more comfortable for insertion. And not to get too personal but ... you don't have to remove them every time you go pee. But you must change them frequently and you MUST never leave them in more than 6-8 hours. This is very important because if you leave them in too long you could get very very sick!

hey dont worry about it so much....try a high absorbancy tampon and if you are still leaking through use a pantyliner with tampon or a pad. I bled for a month staright and I was bleeding really bad so I know how you feel. Just use what you can and take some pain reliever, I use advil. good luck girl.

Use the overnight pads. They are the biggest and help A LOT. For the cramping and lower back pains, etc, use midol or get one of those pillows that are filled with beans that you can put into a microwave and place it on the part that hurts. It has been the best thing that I've ever bought!!

First of all try those heat pads (disposable ones) they are excellent for the cramps.
Second, Advil or Aleve for the pain.
Third, Try the overnight pads by Maxi for extra protection.
