Bullhead City is near by and you can take a boat to the casinos across the Colorado River. The Colorado River also goes thur Needles. This time of year it is nice. Summer hot as hell.
The most interesting place though is a town called Oatman, just a few miles east of town in the hills.
It is a old time western town with bars hotels and shops. Weekends they have shoot outs in town. But, the best are all the wild donkeys that roam the town . Some of the young ones will steal your heart.
Every time we are down that way we go there. It is worth going there.

Ha! Funny story about Needles, CA...a few months ago, me and my friend were driving to Las Vegas, NV from Northwest Arizona.
While we were driving, we saw a sign saying the city "Needles"
So we started laughing about the name...about 50 minutes later, we saw a "WELCOME TO CALIFORNIA" sign, and realized that we were taking the wrong route.
We had to drive all the way back and change routes to get to Las Vegas.
We were laughing about Needles, now Needles was laughing at us!

Either keep driving west till you hit Los Angeles, or go east till you hit Vegas. Nothing much in Needles

I have been there and I really can't say that I saw anything at all . I would suggest you look up your community on the web and see what they thinks is interesting and fun. I too would have to say LA or Vegas. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
