yeh i have the same problem w/ american eagle jeans.

If you want to shrink them:
1. Place them in washer w/ HOT water.
2. Dry them in your dryer on the HOTTEST setting.

They should shrink if you do that.
Good luck!

get a big pan and boil water in it.
dip only the part of the jeans you want to shrink in the boiling water. Leave them for at least five minutes. When you take them out be careful because the hot, wet material can burn you. Put them in the washer and set it to spin dry then put them in the dryer. That should do it. If not enough tighter, do it again till you get what you want.

good luck

I've always had the same problem with american eagle jeans. They're made for girls with naturally bigger hips and butt. I usually threw mine in the dryer right before i wore them but eventually they'd go right back to normal. You may just have to resort to a different brand if they're really bad :/

i have the same problem because i need the length in jeans but not the wideness. im and skinny so its hard. buy a cute belt or they should have elastic things inside and you pull them and button them. they have them at old navy and the gap and banana republic. or i hate to say it but when you can buy slim fit jeans. if its not to much a hassle

Hi raven, Well ya shot me down...LOL! I was going to "suggest" a tailor/seamstress alteration. Most Dry-Cleaners have this accomodation. They take a few "measurements", then in 2-4 days you've got an awesome pair of "fitted" jeans. I just did this with my Halloween outfit, and I won "3rd Place" in the costume contest! The "outcome" (lookin' hot) way outways the "hassle"! XOXO Moonpie P.S. It cost me about $12.00

Put it in the microwave, unless it's got metal on it!
Then put it in the dryer.
Heat makes fabric shrink.

in the future, i recommend not buying their jeans. i can't wear them period because if i shrink them, they become too small in the thighs.
