I am so scared of spiders but I have to be brave because I don't want to pass on the phobia to my daughter so I find myself saying "Aah, isn't it beautiful!" When really I want to run screaming from the room like a maniac! But I think my daughter has picked up on my fear anyway even though I tried my best to hde it! Forget lie detectors, just bring in three year olds! They will soon tell you if someone is sh*tting!

most definitely! I am a total paranoid freak. I am always afraid bad things are going to happen. I'm afraid that i am going to some how be punished for mistakes I have made even if I am sorry. silly things like cheating on boys in high school. sneaking out of my parents house when I was younger. running a red light even or getting an attitude with people. Karma I guess that is my fear. It goes deeper than that even. I sometimes cry because I think about my husband dying on his way to work...... Um.... Oh yeah I hate to hear words like white and red blood cells. umbilical cord any organs it totally makes me sick to my stomach. Anything that involves blood really makes me sick just hearing it. And it absolutely makes my skin crawl to see someone touch their belly button. I dont even wash mine I'm so repulsed by them. Yeah I'm a total freak I know it.

I suffer from two phobias, one is pretty standard. I'm afraid of heights, i go all jelly legged and stuff.
The other is obscure, I have a fear of tomato ketchup, no honestly. I can't abide the red juice of the devil. I have a grimace on my face and shivers going down my spine just talking about it. It's just horrible, if I get it on my hands I have to wash it off immediatley, I find the smell get wrentching and the thought of eating it makes me want to vomit.

I have an irrational fear of being publically rejected.
And, while I don't think I'm really afraid of it, I instantly pass out at the sight of blood.

Stuff touching my throat / chin really freaks me out, even if it's just a strand of hair, I feel really uncomfortable. I don't wear round neck top cos I just end up stretching the neck line to stop it touching me. I don't know why I can't stand this - maybe I was strangled in a past life - I certainly don't recall any event which set if off.
Funnily enough though I absolutely LOVE having the back of my neck touched - it's one of my erogenous zones (along with my back and scalp).

I have none, but my wife suffers from Agoraphobia, probably the most debilitating phobia there is.
She is afraid to go outside, and will often freeze if someone knocks on the door. She is too scared to answer the phone and refuses to talk to family and friends.
This is a phobia but it should probably be classified as a mental illness.

Whether phobias are irrational or not they are very real to the people that have them. I am a germaphobe, scared of germs, they drive me nutty ha ha.

My third is of my best mates grossly fat cat. It must weigh about 3 stone- it looks like a big bit of fur and it cant walk properly and its just so disgusting it really freaks me out and it knows im afraid so it stalks me when im there!
