Metallica's album genres differ by each album
In the early days when they were good and hadnt sold out they were thrash metal the albums were Kill 'em all, Ride the lightning, Master of puppets, ...And justice For All, Black album (though a few songs were progressive metal, the begining of their sell out). Then they sold out and turned to progressive metal for a larger audience. The albums were Load, Reload, and Garage Inc. Then S & M was Symphony Metal. They then turned the speed back up and St. Anger was speed metal (definitly not thrash, and definitly still crap except for about 3 songs).

The genre changes with their albums..

Kill Em All/Ride the Lightning/Master Of Puppets/...And Justice For All were thrash metal, and are considered their best works, and should be. (St. Anger was thrash but it just sucked)

Metallica/Load/Reload/Garage Inc were more hard rock, and they got sort of ballad-y.

And of course S&M...kinda self-explanatory.

The sell out bs started with Load i've got faith using fact "hardcore" followers did no longer like that Metallica replaced into attempting to allow their sound evolve with the situations. I even have been prepared on Metallica considering the fact that 1989 or 1990 and between the various nicknames that I had in severe college replaced into Metallica. So i think of that i'm able to truly relate on your perspective. in my view there are some songs from Load/reload that i in my view do like. St Anger I on no account wasted my time with and dying Magnetic made me think of i replaced into listening to early Metallica from Kill Em All days... I even have considered Megadeth as quickly as stay and that they sucked, if i did no longer already know the songs i might have had no clue what they have been enjoying. Metallica I even have considered three times in 3 distinctive states considering the fact that 1997. in basic terms as quickly as I observed them in Giants Stadium did i think of they sucked. Audio controls have been off so which you are able to no longer understand what they have been making a song, it replaced right into a 6 hourpersistent around holiday while it could have been perhaps 3 and the vehicle have been given broken into. Sorry for the side song....i'm able to understand why Dave observed their occupation considering the fact that he replaced into in Metallica and that i think of that throughout itself is lots of the animosity it incredibly is between followers. the reality that it style of sounds like Megadeth copied their strikes make me think of that Dave needs he on no account left and is attempting to capture a number of that glory that Metallica has vs Megadeth. even nevertheless the bands could have kissed and made up would not propose the followers have or ever will. in case you rather decide to communicate approximately sell Outs...even nevertheless i like them i think of that Kiss could desire to be close to the splendid of the record...disco album, adequate pronounced.
