I am a Republican because of the values that is presented by this Party. However, there is not a hatred in me for all Democrats. The reason for wanting to hold control of both houses of Congress is because the Democrats would create more problems than solutions. The fact is the economy has endured major crises with considerable resilience. This is a fact that the tax cuts worked. My family got a check from the Government just like the President promised. No other Administration gave us this money. The Democrats complain about the economic growth that is leading the industrialized world. There are some good Democrats that have worked with Republicans to make tough decisions. No Party has been perfect. The previous administration and this one has had its share of problems. My state lost a good Democrat because he worked with a Republican Governor to erase a $4 Billion deficit that resulted in a $2 Billion dollar surplus. His own party voted him out because of his willingness to be a partner than an adversary iof the Republican Governor. Is that fair or reasonable? If I could have voted in the primary and in this election for this Democrat, I would have done so . The democratic winner has promised to not be cooperative like that man if this Governor remains in office. It is that type of thinking that angers Republicans like me.

As a Democrat I can't honestly say that my fellow Dems have been any better.

But overall, it is indeed amazing what a sooooothing effect George "uniter not a divider" Bush has had on political discourse over the last six years. A couple more years of Mr. Uniter and we'll be so "united" we'll be ready to kill each other with chain saws.

No. The widespread beligerance is just rampant here on both sides. Makes the questions more exciting.

Only as much as the widespread Democrat beligerance does.

As many of these topics I see every day, I have not seen the belligerence you refer to.. I have seen an exceptional amount of hate being delivered by the Bush haters. There is a pretty defined line between optimists and pessimists..Guess which ones become the most verbose? As well as indignant and illustrate their lack of common sense.

Part of me wants to throw them a life line just to ensure their own self respect, and a commitment to my fellow Americans, ...BUT, I selfishly want more than anything for all of the hate mongers to wake up and realize we are in this together, like it or not.
