I got pulled over last week and I didn't even do it this time! The stupid cop said I was going 50 in a 30 but he didn't clock me at that he said he had to go 55 to catch up to me. So to me that says that's how fast he had to go not how fast I was going, he doesn't have any proof. So I'm going to appeal the ticket. What really pissed me off was the fact that the first thing he said to me was, Is this your car, What do you do for a living? And when I answered, he laughs and says, I must be in the wrong business! And then at the end of the whole ordeal he says I'm going to give you a break and just write 50 anything over that would be a felony and a $300 ticket. The reason what he said first pissed me off, was because I'm a 21, black female, driving a 2007 Lexus, in a less than ethnic part of the city, so of course all kinds of profiling was going on. I'm not a hyper-sensitive person but I think that were some odd questions to be asking someone, especially before he looked at my license and seen that the car is registered in my name. And what does my occupation have to do with me speeding or not? Sorry but something was off! BTW the ticket is $175.
