why are there haters in school?

i wore a skirt to school today and almost every girl gave me a dirty look and were talking bad about me cause i wore a skirt whats wrong with that all of a sudden its illegal to wear a skirt

They have low self esteem. So when they see a girl looking especially hot or sexy, they get insecure and act like b*tches to make that person feel like crap. Then the girl who's hotter than them never wears a skirt again, and doesn't look as hot. But haters wouldn't exist if you didn't care what they thought. Just ignore them, wear what you like, and they won't have an effect on you. :)

Just how short and tight was your skirt? Very short skirts are a major social faux-pas. My best friend in high school insisted on wearing short skirts that were so tight they curved in under her bottom. She was profoundly insecure, and dressing in a way that made boys (and men) look at her and think immediately of sex boosted her self-confidence. She never quite understood why everyone, male and female, assumed she was advertising that she was "easy", being unable to understand the correlation between advertising that you are a sexual being and the natural conclusion of that. Basically, if you dress to make people view your body as a sexual object, people will treat you like a sexual object. My high school friend was a wonderful, generous girl, but I think by wearing tight short clothing she made her social life at school very difficult.

All i can say is girls can be horribly mean... not necessairly because they're a bad person, but because at that age it happens naturally. All girls will have it happen to them, and all girls will do it at least once. Do try to be to hard on yourself because I'm sure ur skirt was awesome :) Don't worry those years of "haters" will be coming to an end soon enough.

Maybe they were jealous-maybe you look better that them in a skirt-you will find haters everywhere you go not just in school-if some of those girls are suppose to be your friends-start checking out your friends more carefully-a friend would not be jealous of you

school age is a tough age.... people don't know who they are yet so they look to others for it. the girls probably liked your skirt but its easier to hate on you than to compliment you.the way i look at it is what u wore made an impact on them weather positive or neg they still looked so screw them. lol!

i know the feeling of having that and i think that you have to face that like i did because when that used to happen to me i got tired of it and you know what i did, guese???........................well i looked at them and said o where did you get those shoes and then i said well my name is... and then we became friends until now . i am happy about what i did and it doesnt matter if they are jelouse or not its just that they dont know you.

They are not mature enough to accept the fact that others are better, and some make fun of other's so that they can make themself's feel good.
