I love Wales, the language, the people and the countryside.
The country is beautiful, waterfalls, mountains, beaches, forests everything that a countryside lover could want. I spent a couple of days in South and West Wales this week. The people are most friendly and welcoming.
Some towns really do speak Welsh as a first language. Welsh has a lovely sound even if you don't understand it. I will probably retire to Wales and learn the language.
If you plan to vist Wales, there are a few places that are really memorable. Dan yr Ogof, Henrhyd Falls and Scwd yr Eira, The Museum of Welsh Life, Cwmtydu beach. Do a google image search on any of these.

I live in anglesey, which i think has the highest proportion of welsh speakers in wales. I'm welsh first language and very proud. It wasn't until I was about 16 that I realised some Welsh people didn't speak it at all, I'm not as bad as Glyn from Big Brother, but I do think it's important to keep the language alive. A farmer friend of mine had one of his sheep shagged, 2 blokes were arressted, 1 for shagging the sheep and the other had a porn mag and a torch. The blokes were from manchester!!!!

If a Welsh guy sat in any pub where i drink i don't think anyone would pay the slightest bit of notice.
I have felt really uncomfortable in quite a few pubs in Wales to the point i thought it would kick off just because they'd picked up on the English accent.
I generally quite like the Welsh, i like the way they want to keep the Welsh language and identity so i just hope that the bad feeling that seems to be coming from the Scots to the English doesn't repeat it'self here.

I know its not true, but my usually impression is to see them as part of England. I know that the Welsh and English have a seperate culture and country, but it is not really seen much in America, at least I have not seen it. From what I have sene it seems likes a clean country with nice people.
My name is Welsh, Dylan.
As for sheep, I love sheep.
Maybe there is some hate between the Englsih and the Welsh that I am not aware of. Frankly, if I had to pick either English or Welsh, would pick Wales.

I think all of these inter-cultures, like the Welsh, Irish, English and Scottish should get with the real world and face up to the fact that they are British. We're not some enormous continent - we are a little tiny island and as such we have to work together, as Britons, to make our voice heard across Europe and the world.

Warm and friendly with a very strange sense of humour. The country is very beautiful with mountains, streams and rugged coastline and cliffs, sandy bays and blue sea. Love singing and are very proud to be Welsh. Love Rugby and not that keen on us English.

I was fell walking with me Welsh mate Dye and we came across a sheep with its head stuck in a fence, it was wiggling it ample bottom in the air provocatively.
I said to my mate, Bet you wish that was Shirley Basset (cos he likes old dogs)
He replied "I wish it was DARK"
Truth is we love everything about you even though you are probably the most boring people on the planet.
Except for that snooker player he was a laugh.

Oh dear.
What culture? I am ready to learn what that might be...rugby, male voice choirs? A couple of poets...?
I wish, for the sake of Wales, that the language was spoken by more than a tiny minority of the Welsh population...you lot don't even seem to care about it!
The countryside is beautiful, some of the towns are incredibly depressing
