First report the teacher for being an insensitive SOB!!! How rude!! Don't stand for this...next time nicely reply, "That's rude! It is my parents who smoke, not me."
Then there's not much you can do for your clothes as long as they pass thru your house. Try washing/drying and immediately putting them under plastic ......like garmet bags. Keep what you can sealed until you get out of the house.
Realize you and your hair will also smell so there's not much you can do about that. Try washing or at least wiping yourself with toweletts after you leave, brush your hair...sprinkle some powder in it first and brush, etc. Perfume and cologne really don't eliminate the stench, just mask it somewhat.
Sorry you have to go thru this. I did too.

My dad was a chain smoker, so I know what you're talking about! I don't think that I'd want to walk around smelling like smoke OR fabreeze. I'd start doing my own laundry and don't take anything out of your drawers or closet until you're ready to wear them in the morning. They will NOT smell if they're not around the actual cigarette smoke. In the morning, stay away from your parents if they smoke before you go to school. I'm sure that your house reeks of cigarettes, but you don't have to.
If your Econ teacher has a problem, tell him/her to call your parents, but to get off your back! Teacher's are there to teach, not to judge.

First of all, I would deal with the economics teacher. That was inappropriate and highly judgmental; he/she should be reported.
Secondly, do your parents know about what happened between you and the teacher? If not, bring it up. Tell your parents exactly what you wrote above, and how their smoking affected your life. Perhaps they could smoke outside, or keep it to one room of the house. Their habit is unfair to you all the way around- health and reputationwise. Once the smoke is kept out of the house(and your lungs), it should not find its way to your clothes.

Close the door to your room and the door to your closet. Wash your clothes in a quality detergent, like Tide. Don't leave your clothes around the house. Hang your coat in your room. And don't worry, if they smoke that heavily, they will be dead of cancer before you are out of high school.

Your Dad can smoke out side the house,or you can move to another house, or tell your dad how did your feel about your friends comments. Or just wash your clothes every day.

your teacher needs to be reported. try leaving your bedroom window cracked for some fresh air as often as you can. febreeze won't get the smell out -- you are just making yourself smell like febreeze and smoke. soon enough you will be living on your own and won't have to deal with it anymore so don't worry too much -- just look to the future.

My sister-in-law used to take her clothes out of the dryer and put them directly into plastic bins and keep them sealed until she needed clothes out of it. Seemed to work for her.
