my due date is nov 30th... i'm currently 36 weeks... my doctor said the the baby's head is down and that she has dropped.. i just wanted to know about how long after the baby has dropped does it takes to go into active labor? or does this really have much to do with it?? i've been having bh for about 3 weeks and most of them are pretty painful and then others just uncomfortable... but nothing i do seems to ease any of them.. they just go away on their own and they are still irregular... this is my second child and with my first, he never dropped down even in labor.. so i had a c-section with him... just wondering and thanks in advance

honestly, you can give birth in a few hours, or even a few weeks. It all depends on how your cervix is doing. If you want to have the baby now or sooner than later, try having sex, semen will loosen and soften the cervix, and help with overall jump statrt to labor. Also niple stipulation helps with getting contactions going in some women, about 20-30% So go ahead... start now... you may have the kid sooner than later with these tips.

My baby dropped over a month before he was born. So it could still be a while. And all those tips to jumpstart labor don't always work. I tried everything (except castor oil) and none of them helped. My suggestion would be to relax these next couple of weeks & enjoy the time with your oldest.

Good luck with your VBAC.

you still have a month to go. Just be glad that you are almost there. I would think that you have about 3 weeks left though. good luck and congrats.

anywhere from now to 4 weeks from now. CONGRATS nothing about birth is predictable or on a set time schedule.
