I can't think of one excuse... I mean, we only had about a fifth the men in Afghanistan as we do in Iraq... maybe that has something to do with it?
I'm sure you'll get plenty of excuses though...

That's simple, Bush doesn't want him to be captured, if he did, he would have focused on capturing Bin Laden instead of going into Iraq to finish what Daddy Bush started with Saddam. Bin Laden was just an excuse to get into that territory so Baby Bush could get to Saddam and finish the fight that Daddy started, guess what???? He may have captured Saddam, but he will never win the fight, just like Daddy couldn't.

Saddam could have interfered in the sale of Iraqi oil (as he did at the end of the first Persian Gulf War). Osama can't really interfere in the sale of Afghani oil. Therefore, Saddam was a bigger priority.

Osama is used to hiding, and he knows the terrain and the locals in the area where he is. That area is extremely mountainous, with few roads, no electricity, and little communication. Plus,(and this is entirely speculation on my part) he could be fairly close to the chinese border. We may hesitate to launch military operations too close. We did that once before and the chinese entered the korean war.
If you use a program like this
http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html
and look the area over, the problem of finding him becomes apparent.

Hummm?
I don't know if this a is a good answer.
A Maine attorney who released information in 2000 about President George W. Bush's drunken driving conviction was arrested on Tuesday after he dressed up as al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and waved a fake gun at traffic.
Police in South Portland, Maine, arrested Thomas Connolly, 49, of Scarborough, Maine, and charged him with criminal threatening. He was released on bail, local officials said.
Lt. Todd Bernard said the police department received calls about a man wearing Middle Eastern garb and a bin Laden mask and carrying fake dynamite standing along an interstate highway. When police arrived, they saw Connolly holding a gun.
"They ordered him to drop the weapon several times and he eventually complied," Bernard said.
It turned out the gun was fake, Bernard said.
In a phone interview, Connolly said he'd been trying to protest a planned change in local tax rules.
"I didn't expect to be arrested," he said. "Obviously I touched a post-9/11 nerve."
Days before the 2000 presidential election, Connolly released information about Bush's 1976 drunken driving conviction.
The Bush campaign said Democratic "dirty tricks" were behind the disclosure that at age 30 Bush had been arrested for drunken driving in Kennebunkport, Maine, pleaded guilty, paid a fine and had his license suspended for 30 days.
Connolly, a Democrat, ran for governor in Maine in 1998.
South Portland, Maine, is located about 100 miles northeast of Boston.

Osama has more and smarter friends and is living in much more difficult terrain. Osama is also use to living on the run while Saddam is use to the palace. I doubt their is any conspiracy involved, they are really different situations and people.

I have wondered that too.
It should not be that hard to find him.
Must be paying people off to keep the man hidden but I don't know who is doing the paying.
Just we the taxpayers get it in the end.
