personally i find pushing the head out the worst bit and that's when i give in and have gas + air !!!
i find the contractions okish Coz you can try to stay in control once the head starts coming there is no going back and i think for me fear takes over but all women are different
hopefully it wont take to long for the head to be born and its soooooooooo worth all the pain once you are holding the baby in your arms

they both hurt is diffrent ways. Pusing hurts your bottom you feel horrible presure in your butt and vagina but the pushing acually can feel good you are working thru the pain. The contractions are painful most painful when you feel it all in your lower back you can't do anything but breath or move to feel better the closer you get to delivery the contractions are nearly non stop I WOULD SAY they hurt more because you can't push thru the pain. You have contractions while pushing the pushing would be less painful without the contractions

Both. The contractions are gritting teeth painful and then you push and it is a vaginal stretching pain that you have to push away. Dont worry though, your adrenaline will get you through it and you will have a beautiful baby at the end.

Contractions. I was so focused on the pain of the contraction, that when it came time to push, they wanted you to push during the contraction. So, I would say that contraction.

the contractions were very painful, so when it came time to push it was almost a relief. don't get me wrong, it still hurt like heck, but at that point I felt like I had a little bit of control; with the contractions I was pretty much at their mercy. sounds like fun, huh? it's definitely not, but so worth it in the end!

well contractions are painful but if you get epidural for it then you should be fine but pushing is the hard part because it can be very tired after a while.
