I need to leave on christmas eve (early evening) and come back christmas night before midnight.

The airlines that run shuttles tend to be the cheapest. These are Frontier, America West, United and Southwest. Prices currently will be $100-$150 round-trip, but as we get closer to the end of the month, you will see some last-minute specials to fill those seats on 12/24. I was able to do it a year or so ago for $75 (including tax), but it depends how long you want to wait to hopefully get a better deal.
