Just another example of the hypocritical double standards of the church, a situation with two thousand years of examples. And people wonder why I'm an atheist?

It is said; It is not what goes into a mans mouth that defiles him but what comes out. He may be telling half truths. It would be my guess that he was getting it for someone else closer to him."GOD IS GOOOOD!!!" but meth is better? I would think that it is time for a new evangelical leader regardless. Maybe they should all have to take a polygraph? I wonder how much money he has saved up to retire rich anyway? He wouldn't be the first or the last. Remember King Solomon? Does this make a prostitute an unlikely hero? Again I say; It is not what goes into a mans mouth that defiles him but what comes out? How are peoples faiths being tested this way? Do they really deserve the truth or to just move on. I'm not impressed either way on this one. He is what he has become in his own mind and legend. A fallen hero of Christianity. Has he become possessed by his own arrogance and power? He is not the first.

He is tempted as a human. Using religion and sin to try to make the accusations sound more understandable is wrong. I'll respond by saying this, the more the man opens his mouth the more he makes himself sound guilty. Why do so many people think because a person claims to be Christian, born-again, Evangelical, Catholic, Lutheran or any other denomination, makes them more moral than an atheist, agnostic, or any other regular person?

I think it's good that he's stepped down from his church and from the organization he was leading, but I also hope that Christians will stop the gossip and gawking and that they'll shut up and pray for Haggard to get back in line with God. Check out the blog entry I just posted about Haggard.

Oceansoflight777 is correct.
In addition, this is just the tip of the Iceberg.....I am convinced there is a link between Christianity and
Sexual Deviation. We do not hear these stories from the other Major Religions.

If you want my own personal opinion about the guy, I'm tending to think he's a wolf in sheep's clothing, a child of darkness who has infiltrated the church in order to deceive God's people. May He forgive me if I'm wrong, but I really don't think I am. Those guys are always attracted to positions of power, and authority.

He is in just flat out denial. He's going to make people angry on all sides unless he can prove accuser is lying or he come out clean about his past. He seems to be doing neither of those two.

He has been accused of something that he denies. I will withhold judgment until there is some evidence supporting the allegation.

It isn't my place to judge him. I wasn't aware of who he was until this news broke. I can only feel compassion for his family at this time.
