I put Advantix on my dog and a Preventik collar. I have sprayed the entire front and back lawn AND put down Diatamacious Earth around the perimeter. I set off 5 foggers inside as well as completely dusting the entire house HEAVILY with Diatamacious Earth which is STILL all along the walls of each room. I let the dog indoors for less than 5 minutes and BAM, I had to kill 5 ticks from the tile floor. I am LOSING IT. What can I do to kill these little bastards?

What makes you think any of these are fast acting? DE takes time, it has to penetrate the cutin layer on the insect.

Advantix and Frontline keep the critter from attaching or killing them shortly thereafter, nothing was said about carrying them in on their fur. Yes, I know the collar was suppose to work, but they take time!! Often these type collars cause the insect to jump off, not kill them.

With all those chemicals, I hope your dog doesn't keel over...or you.

Ticks are a long battle, you must break their reproductive cycle. One shot doesn't work, you need to be vigilant for weeks.......and that's just for those hiding in the house along the baseboards, on furniture, etc. Then each newcomer to the door must be dealth with too.

What are you doing about outside? You have to control out there too. You have to inspect yourself and your dog after each excursion outside when the ticks are especially bad.

I have sympathy as I have 5 dogs.....huge and long haired -depending on the time of year, they seem to be walking tick condos. WE spend time at the door before they come in.

Protecting your family from pests with our perimeter control plan couldn’t be easier. It consists of two simple steps:Step 1: An analysis – Is there anything around the perimeter to welcome insects? Example: Wood plies, stagnant water, broken gutters etc. This will help ride the dwelling form pests.Step 2: A treatment plan- Once our trained technician inspects your home, a complete estimate will be prepared and presented to you. Upon your approval of the estimate, an appointment for the treatment will be scheduled. And because the exterior of your home is treated, there’s no waiting around for the technician to come by and put the perimeter pest control plan into action.

Advantix on your dog does not prevent fleas from getting on him/her. It just prevents the eggs they lay from hatching and will eventually kill them too. It doesn't kill instantly so your pet will continue bringing them indoors as long as he keeps running where they are. Sorry. I dust my pets thoroughly with a flea powder repellant before letting them outdoors. No fleas on them when they come back in. However, they don't stay out all day either. It works for me.

Please be real careful when you use foggers !
They have been known to cause homes to explode due to the amount of too many cans and the stove pilot light or water heater being the ignition source

With all the money and time spent you would be better off getting proffessional advise from a reputable dealer.
