I have a figure, with the code tag removed, it has left some nasty sticky substances, don't want to try and scratch them off since it will scratch the bubble it self, I need a substance that would gently remove it without damaging the bubble (plastic)

There was such a variety of different answers to your question, so I decided to look this one up for myself. I searched two different books.
I found: Alcohol - Apply a little rubbing alcohol. Then with a soft cloth moistened with a mild dishwashing liquid rub lightly.
Bath Oil - Applied to a cotton ball and just rub.
Cold Cream - Allow to soak in for about 15 min. to soak in and then just rub.
Pencil Eraser - Try rubbing with an eraser and the stuff should peel away.
Peanut Butter, Shortening, & Vegetable Oil - These all work on the same principles as the cold cream and bath oil.
WD-40 - Just spray on, wait a few seconds and wipe away. (Interestingly enough it also works on removing gum from hair among other things}

I hope I wasn't too late with this info. Good Luck.
