Personally, I think he is too much of a perfectionist. I think he is trying to say that if he put all his efforts in a particular video that is being nominated, unless he sees that someone else's video is better then his and that he deserves to win. Everyone would like to be the winner of an award they were nominated for. It just that while everyone else would just suck it in and not say how some of them really feel, but Kanye let it be known how he felt.
Personally, I know one person would like to win as many things (awards, money, whatever) as they can. But, man, think of the people who had videos out and did not get nominated. Suck it up Kanye, be appreciative and understand that it is the people who made you and got you where you are today.
And, no, he won't be like M.C. Hammer. He was too stupid hiring 500 or so "friends" from his neighborhood, buying a big mansion with his name on it and having put a lot of money into a f'ucking racehorse that went nowhere.
Kanye is talented; M.C. acted like a f'ucking idiot! That is why he was on "The Surreal Life" and is now a preacher.
