i am a true believer in that everyone has thier own individual style. if you like the clothes you bought at this shop then don't let it worry you. the assistants should be told that the customer is always right!

I think you're wrong to worry about what the shop assistants think. You say the clothes look good on you and you obviously bought them because you like them. Haven't you ever seen older women wearing clothes that are normally worn by young women? I say wear whatever you like and definitely go back to that shop. Sounds like a nice shop with a club card too.

If the clothes suit you then don't worry about what the website says. It's stupid to say clothes are for a particular age range anyway....

Just relax and be yourself. You can dress up your outfits with your own shoes, accessories, jewellery etc to make them unique to you.

Sounds as if you have a secret advantage over your contemporaries!

PS I once picked out a pretty summer smock top and then realised it was maternity wear.... far more embarrassing!

Don't worry bout what people might think. You've made up your mind, and you are happy with what you wear, and you look fine in them right? Then there's nothing wrong with it. Why should you care about those shop keepers? After all, customers are entitled to buy whatever they want for themselves.

Wear what you like, it doesn't matter if you wear stuff 'too old for you' but do learn to construct a question with proper grammer. My eyes were hurting trying to read it, don't you look at the screen as you type?
