when i was about 9 i had a old video that i taped over stuff and i fast foward to a film called aracnaphopia and ever since that film i have had the fear of spiders does anyone know a way to help me over come them i e like seeing a turantula and someone help me to rid my fear of them

by the way i got a 100% fear of them but sometimes i trap them in a contaner and look at them then relise them outside but as for seeing them run up walls and stuff no thanx

You are suppose to be afraid of turantulas. I don't know why people want to rid themselves of this fear. But, if you are a guy, you should be good at two things: opening jars and killing spiders. Just start killing them buddy. You are the superior species.

I haven't found a way to get over that fear because I HATE spiders. I can't even look at them, especially tarantulas. And the movie Arachnaphobia, I can't even watch that. I think we might need to try hypnotism because that is a fear that won't go away for me. Anything but spiders!

Plenty of people are afraid of spiders. I'm terrified of moths, possibly even more than you are of spiders :)
While my fear is irrational, it might be a good thing to be afraid of spiders, especially if you're not sure if one is poisonous. If you still really want to get rid of your fear, though, go to a pet shop and ask to hold a tarantula. It might be freaky if you're scared, but tarantulas won't hurt you. Good luck :)

It will help to kill them. show them you have the power!!! Take a rolled up newspaper or shoe and just give it a good whack! It will give you a sense of superiority against them because you know that you are bigger and more capable of killing them, then they are killing you. Seriously try it!
