The Daily Show is by far the most accurate source of news on TV, no joke.
Isn't that ironic?

I don't know if I'd trust an entire news station, one should just use thier own educated judgement as to what is the least biased news and decide what they think. I think people that pick a news station just because they say what they like to hear are not doing themselves a favor by using thier own brain to make decisions. They simply hear what they want to hear and avoid listening to other viewpoints.

Inasmuch as recent essays on satellite tv (and to a much lesser extent on cable and mainstream media) have addressed the fact that only five companies control most US 'broadcast' news content- conscientious citizens and professional researchers must seek independent sources on the internet and some open-sources (like Current tv and Youtube, Link, etc.) and by comparison as well as by noting some 'conspicuous absenses' one may deduce what sources and journalists, what newshawks and truth seekers... may be relatively trustworthy. In the long run, resist the impulse to be a "sprinter", and by persistance, one may know the reliability of one's own, confident inner voice of reason, and not open oneself to others defining for you whom to trust.

When I want real news, I go to a variety of sources.
The NY Times. Washington Post. Christian Science Monitor. The Times of London. Yeah, BBC... NPR, here in the States. Reuters. AP...
Read as many as possible, sift for what they have in common, and how they differ.
That is what I do, anyway.

Every news agency and reporter is going to be swayed by bias, no matter how neutral they claim to be. The best news source is your own senses. Interpret things as you think they should be interpreted.

Lou Dobbs, seems to be about the most fair to the average American. If I had to pick a station. CNN, but they are biased also.
PBS for my second choice.

I watch the BBC news. It is fairly unbiased and I get world news there that is never broadcast on US news.

BBC world service. (Best independent choice.)
New York Times. (Yeah yeah, but still preeminent reporting)
