On Internet Explorer 7 click the gold star on the left of the toolbar, or press Ctrl + i or Alt + c on your keyboard, and also if the Menu Bar with File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help isn't showing, click Tools (an icon that looks like a gear) on the bottom right of the toolbar, a menu pops up, click Menu Bar, or right click a vacant space on the toolbar, a menu pops up, click Menu Bar.
If you only need the Menu Bar with File, Edit, View, Favorites, Tools, and Help to appear temporarily just press the Alt key on your keyboard. This way your toolbar doesn't take up as much of your screen. If you want it to stay permanently, right click on a vacant space on the toolbar and click Menu Bar.

The bright yellow star to the left of your monitor is favourites and next to it is a small green add sign over a yellow star that is add to favourites. Enjoy

look got the yellow star and click it your favorites should come up

right click and check menu bar, then you'll see it
