Here is a site for making your own dip mixes, etc.

I make up a variety of mixes and put them into snack bag sized zip-locs with instructions that I have typed up. I punch a hole through the top (be careful not to punch the bag part or your mix will leak out. and tie the instructions on with a colorful ribbon. You can make a variety (maybe include 3-5) and place into cute gift bag or basket (I have found cute baskets at the dollar bill store) You can probably make these cute and yummy gifts for very little. Most importantly - these gifts will be made with love.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

The best gifts always come from the heart, never from the store.

Even if lack of money keeps you from buying materials to make a gift for family members, offer yourself. That is far more valuable.

What I mean is, provide a valuable service if nothing else. For example, keep someones car washed and cleaned for a period of time, or mop floors, do other things around the home. Just generally make things brighter, happier or easier.

'Tis the best gift of all, giving of ones self.

I know this isn't real creative but making home-made candy or desserts is always a nice gift, or going to a thrift shop and finding just that one item that they collect and also the other idea of an I O U for a day of cleaning or anything like that is nice. My kids give them to me and it comes in handy on a long day. Good luck to ya.

if you are around them coupn books are always nice. stuff like. Will walk the dog for a week, free night of baby sitting, stuff that are not the things that you usually do for them anyway. My sister found a poem and typed it out ona comp and then painted the back ground and had it framed for me last yr. I have also done goody plates w/ homemade candy cookies and bread. That does take a little money but is more about love and effort.

Make a nice card with a voucher that you have also made and let them exchange the voucher for something nice you can do for them, whether it's shopping, a neck and shoulder massage, cleaning out a rabbit run etc.

you can find a lot of really cheap ideas at the craft store. Last year I knitted about 8 scarves for people. It wasn't very expensive.
