Burglary invovles breaking and entering. Theft does not.

burglary involves breaking and entering (or just entering) illegal, such as breaking into someone's house and stealing their TV.

Theft is taking something, such as grabbing a purse someone left unattended.

well, i think they're the same thing, just burglary is a fancier word the police use.

they the same thing cuz if u look it up in the dictionary u'll get the same answer for each
