I agree - not that animals' lives are more important than humans' (of course, some days I feel that's debatable...), but with the fact that people should be consistent with their beliefs. You're either pro-life or pro-choice. I also don't understand people that get their panties up in a bunch about stem cell research (practically dead, inanimate FETUSES) but the same people accept the death penalty. Some things just don't make sense.

People love to have babies and to most of us is the ultimate challenge in life. To kill in any state of the world is a crime and people think that to take anothers life is wrong for numerous reasons now with that in mind the question stands to be if to take anothers life is wrong what reason should we have to take an unborn life and that it should not be our decision to because an unborn life is still a life and is therefor murder wether it is legal or not and the harsh reallity of it is if someone kills a child that has been brought into the world nomatter who you are you will most likely be disgusted and have a little grievance for the family and the child because any parents first thought will be if that was my child................ Now yes some animals are becoming extinct but civilsation has told us that its a dog eat dog world and number one comes first and i no the animals are not to blame but they live there life and we live ours and im sure that the animals are not wandering round thinking i hope the humans are ok others wise we would be united and civilisation would have took a totally different root but it never so its come to the point of you look after yourself and i will look after me and its not that people dont care but its a tough world and even tougher to live on so people addopted this way of life and the animals addopted there way of life and i allso believe that extiction is just another part of nature as it is a natural occurance which has happened allot all the way from the begining of time and we have no evidence to say that it is not supposed to happen i mean you think about this if the ice age never happened and humans romed the earth with dinosaurs who would be extinct exactly us because we would be lunch and supper to a world of monsters but they were extinct due to the ice age and what if another ice age occured we would all be extinct and thats another point if humans were becoming extinct would you still have the same oppinnion and thats why people care about things such as abortion and dont really think about animals because lets face it what goes on behind closed doors is nobodys businnes.

Ok if you're willing to sacrifice your life for an animal you have no life. Second women who have abortions should choose that right if they wish, but are accepting the physical consequences of that choice because it's been noted that women who have repeated abortions are at a higher risk for infertility because of the damage they do to their bodies. I can see abortion being an option for rape and incest victims, but some of these women need to go ahead and have the baby and if they're not ready to be parents put the baby up for adoption and allow a loving couple who want children to adopt it and raise it in a loving home. I think you need to discontinue your involvement with PETA because you're starting to sound like a broken record talking about animals when humans have hunted animals for thousands of years. Word of advice to you...get a grip and stop worrying about the overpopulation of the world. If you're so concerned with that then get involved with social organizations that are working towards helping many poor countries to use birth control to slow the birth rate down and offer options to young women on what to do if they're pregnant and don't want to keep the baby. There are options out here, but abortions should only be limited to rape and incest victims or if there's a potential danger to the mother.

I do agree with some of the others that your comparison doesn't make much sense. But as shown by some of the other answers, to some people, human life, even in the form of a tiny cluster of cells, with no nervous system or brain function, is more sacred than the life of an endangered animal. Go figure. But to me, an existing life is more important than a ball of cells.
I do agree with you, though. People should not care if a woman has an abortion. It is her business and hers alone.

You sound like a naive little girl. Your reasoning also makes zero sense. Why does the threatened extinction of some animal species justify murdering fetuses? They are innocent too. And if you think animals aren't savage, you haven't studied wildlife at all.
By the way..you have the biggest head I've ever seen. What's up with that?

I have never understood people that value the life of an animal over humans, but to each their own. People like that typically have poor relationships with others and end up living in a home with 50 cats.
Maybe you should work at an animal shelter and devote your life to animals if you are so passionate about it.

Your opinions are as strong to you as the opinions of the others to them.
Neither one is right or wrong until it interfers with the normal flow of society.
Sadly there will always be animals going extinct. It has happened since the beginning of time and will continue. This is a natural occurance in the world. There was no one trying to kill off all of the Do Do birds, nature did that on it's own and fortunatly someone was able to see and document that last one before it died.

"Savage humans"?? lol, wow. Since humans are soo savage and "You would glady exchange your life for the guranteed saftey of animals"....whats stopping you? Why are you complaining about it, just do it!
You should be happy that people care about INNOCENT babies being killed by their parents...if you don't...aren't you glad your mother did! If she hadn't, you'd probably not be on Yahoo Answers, comparing animals to babies.

Maybe a fetus that was aborted could have grown to be a person who would save all helpless animals. Human life is precious. I'm sorry you don't get that.

That is a good question! Like babies animals can make other offsprings and deserve a chance like everybody else. But I guess society see's it as animalistic if you kill a human being rather than an animal. It is sad to say but we get our clothes and food from animals and not babies.
