it's about a couple and he's always gone doing his rodeo thing. She apparently told him not to go again and he did anyway and he was gone a really long time. He called her when he was done cause he thought no matter how long he was gone, she'd be there waiting for him. She moved on w/ her life and found someome else that won't leave. She tells him and instead of getting upset about it he just says he's going onto the next rodeo. There's things he wants to say, that's why he turns around and looks at the phone. His pride won't let him go crying like a baby so he just acts all hard and goes on w/ his life. Very good song. It's about stubborn men and their stubborn pride.

It sounds to me like its about a lady who doesnt trust her boyfriend / husband because of things he's done in the past. For some un-explained reason, he has been away from her for a while, and did not call or write, so the lady has hooked up with some one else and tells the first man to not bother coming home because she wont be there.
