All the stand-in presenters they've had since have floundered like a drowning man.
Deaton handled the show with a quietly confident smugness that no-one else has been able to match.
Having said that, I would love to see Paxman presenting it.
On a similar note, who agrees that Mark Lamar needs to come back to Never Mind The Buzzcocks?

Yes, absolutely, of all the guest presenters they've had since no-one can do the sarcasm like he could. It'll never be as good until he's back.
So what if he did snort a load of charlie and shag a few prossies, its not like someone was found floating in his swimming pool face down after he'd been stuffed full of drugs and manfat.
