Is it illegal to sell imported movies on Ebay?

i dont personally sell on ebay but i bought a dvd from a guy on there and he puts on his listings that they are imported and the dvd i bought has chinese writing on it.

most times, they are bootlegs. so that's why they are illegal.

I think it is, check their rules. If they catch something they yank your auction.
