Mariliyn Manson turned normall Goth into comercial Goth?I was doing a project on Gothic culture and the first thing a goth does is to swear to hate him.WHY???

He made a brand of music that was more main stream, and more access able to people who might not be die-hards of the genre. He also used shock and over-the-top videos to promote his music to a much wider audience than traditional goth music.
People in all of those little sub cultures have this idea that if something is main stream it must be inferior, and that the artist "sold out". This is because if the music is no longer weird, they loose their identity.

Goths don't hate him because of his music, first off. Marilyn Manson doesn't play gothic music, or even industrial music, he plays hard rock/metal. Goths don't care for that music, for the most part, but they have nothing against it. The problem is his look. He dresses to shock, much like Alice Cooper did before him. Somewhere along the line, the media decided that he looked "goth" and therefore, the music he plays must be goth. Since neither his look, attitude, or music has anything to do with the gothic subculture, yet outsiders think he's the embodiment of everything goth, goths are pissed off, and rightfully so. Goths dislike of him is not so much about the actual person, but how he's seen by the general public. That, in a nutshell is why goths don't like Marilyn Manson.

No, he didn't. Marilyn Manson is not a goth at all, and he never was. This is a perception furthered by the media, popular cultural writing, and some of his fans.

the word "commercial" defines the exact opposite of what Goth stands for.
much like Pop music defines the exact opposite of what punk and ska does.. Luckily Marilyn Manson didnt sell out..
But then again... If wearing abercrombie and fitch is trendy..
so is dressing in all black and drinking blood.
