As a women I've tried to watch a whole game of WNBA, but can't!! However, I love the NBA. Is it just me, or are there other women who have the same experience?

Yes, there is no dunking, but I don't think that's the only reason. To me, they seem a bit clumsy, and they all try to act too manly. Maybe that's part of it. I'm not sure.

Personally, I prefer the athleticism of the men's game.
It's not that there aren't plenty of skilled female players, it's just that they can't match the men on the athletic side of things. The men's game is faster, with everything happening at a much quicker pace. The fundamentals sometimes suffer, but the speed of the overall game is so much higher than that of the women's game. The women's game has some good passing and team play, but the level of athleticism isn't even close. It's nothing to do with dunking, really.
I've seen the same thing in hockey, where the women's game just doesn't move as fast as the men's game. That's why women's basketball has virtually no shot of being able to stand on its own, without having the NBA supporting it.

I think the reason is because the are to robotic. Meaning they do not have the athleticism as men. I also think that the human eyes are used to seeing men play hoop and seeing the dunks and different acrobatic moves, that make it look flawless. So different perceptions of the game, make it look bad. But if you like fundamentals, then women's basketball is good.

Probably because they are more fundamentally sound then the men. Have you watched the Denver nuggets? they have only 1 guy on the whole team who can consistently knock down an open three! Women tend not to keep a casual audience because of the lack of NBA high lights. But the women can play you just have to love the game.

I believe if you understand basketball. You will appreciate women's basketball. reason I believe Women's BBall is the most fundamental in America. The NBA has changed basketball to this dunkfest. You go to the playgrounds and tell little boys to warmup and they think that means DUNK!

Even though they COULD, they don't pass around, like the Harlem Globetrotters, to set up a dunk, they can do. The plays are too long developing, period, is my OPINION! Take the P out and you have a stinkin ONION! I don't know if I'm right, it's just my OPINION!

Womens Basketball is not boring! I live in Knoxville, Tennessee and the Lady Vols rock. dunking does not make it exiting, it is the fast paced action!

I'm not a woman but I think I have the answer. I'm not trying to be sexist but the reason why is, the woman are just not as good. Compare shot percentage. Men are faster, bigger, jump higher, and can shot better. But you should support it because no one else does.

MAY BE ASIDE FROM LESS DUNKING! THE WOMENS BASKETBALL IS SO BORING BECAUSE THERE IS ALSO LESS BANGING BODIES! EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE PLAYING BASKETBALL, THEY ARE STILL WOMEN. THEY HAD STILL THAT DELICATE BODY AND SKIN TO TAKE CARE OF! AND ALSO THE RUDE ATTITUDE! I FIND A LOT ENTERTAINING WATCHING BASKETBALL, IF THERE IS A LITTLE COMOTION BETWEEN THE PLAYERS! AND BECAUSE GIRLS WILL ALWAYS BE GIRLS, THEY STILL HAVE THAT PATIENCE IN THEIR SELVES!

As a former DI player I can tell you...Women's professional basketball is difficult to watch. It is appreciated for the technicality and overall finesse that generally is underappreciated by the flashiness and high flying exhibitionism by their male counterparts. Unfortunately, due to society and its emphasis on the game as entertainment...Women are simply left to do one thing. Play the game...

they aren't athletic as the men. My fiance won't even bother watching women's basketball.
